Rev. Coleman's MN Wedding Blog is back!

Thank you, loyal readers, for your patience and support!

After this incredibly popular "MN Wedding Blog" (thank you, City Pages and Blog of the Day Awards!) was unfortunately hacked last month, the outpouring of support was amazing. Dozens of emails expressed concern. Readers from as far as New York and Florida were reading my blog, as they were planning their weddings from out of state, or helping friends plan their Minnesota wedding. Thank you, MN brides and grooms!

Backstory: Last month, spammers had hacked into my website, mnweddingminister.com, through my open-source Wordpress blog and the hackers installed 20,000 pages of spam onto my website. The website then had to be temporarily taken down. Yipe! It was the same naughty bunch who hacked into Al Gore's blog, and Matt Heaton's blog (CEO of Hostmonster and Bluehost).

Anyway, while the three years of blog postings were permanently lost, there is some good news, though - through the help of Security Consultant Ben Christensen of Kinetic Data, we were able to:

  • Delete 20K pages of spam
  • Plug the security holes
  • Bring the blog back up, with the most up-to-date security protections. Yay!
