If you choose to have programs, there are many different traditions, but this program template can help with the order and etiquette.
If you wish, you may even use the actual template for your programs, which is written in standard Microsoft Word for use with any 8.5" x 11" printer and copier. Yosu have to print it on both sides, but then you may just fold it in half to use it. Most programs are printed up pretty late, just a week or two before the wedding in case anything changes, so often they're not as elaborate as, say, wedding invations. Even if you do have professionally printed programs, you might want to check it against this template, just to make sure you've included everyting (for instance, many times people forget to put on the time as well as the date).
