Recommendations and Thoughts

If you are using a CD for wedding music for the Prelude (while Guests are being seated), the Processional, Brides’ Music, and Recessional, I highly recommend "Classical Wedding Traditions"  which can be found on Amazon for $12.99. Of all the wedding albums, I've found that this is the best one. Not only are all the songs really well played, but the album has helpful suggestions on the back of the cover which gives ideas how to use each song (Prelude, Processional, Bride’s Music, or Recessional).

If you are wondering the names of the wedding music you hear most often, the most traditional choices are:

  • Processional - "Canon in D"

  • Bride's entrance - "The Chorus from Lohrengrin by Wagner ("Here Comes the Bride")

  • Recessional - "Trumpet Voluntary"

I look forward to hearing from you!
