Personalized Weddings in Minnesota
Written, coordinated, & officiated just for you
When
you plan your wedding, you have hundreds of choices and a limited
amount of time. With the right help, planning your wedding is a joy.
Your wedding ceremony can reflect who you really are. Everything at
your wedding will be done your way - but you don't have to be in charge.
You may use my 10+ years of experience planning, coordinating, and
performing non-denominational, inter-faith, and non-religious wedding
ceremonies to create a wedding ceremony that's right for you. I'm
Reverend Tomkin Coleman, and as an ordained Anglican minister, I work
full-time designing and officiating wedding ceremonies, working as a
non-denominational Chaplain ministering to all faiths, including those who are not religious and those who are spiritual in their own way. Together, we can create a wedding ceremony that is special, meaningful, and uniquely yours.
Note that if you're planning a wedding on:
- Between May and October of 2008
...I'd highly recommend contacting me right away. Most of those 25 highly-sought-after wedding times are booked! 2009 is also starting to get booked.
You
and your beloved may have different faiths, have different feelings
about faith, or be non-religious. Your wedding can be spiritual and
still reflect both your backgrounds. I'd love to plan with you to help
create a personalized wedding ceremony that reflects your wishes, feelings and beliefs.
- Your wedding can be religious, non-religous, or simply spiritual in your own way
- Customized to your beliefs and wishes
- Everything coordinated and rehearsed: Your ushers, music, parents, everything
- All-inclusive: Rehearsal, travel, re-writes
Why you may choose Rev. Tomkin Coleman to officiate your wedding ceremony
- You
want a more meaningful wedding ceremony than a Minnesota Justice of the
Peace or Judge can provide, one that is longer, more meaningful, and
tailored and customized to your unique wishes, beliefs and values
- You
may have selected a non-traditional wedding site in the Minneapolis or
St Paul, MN area, a spot which poses unique challenges
- You
may have found a Minnesota wedding chapel and then realized that a
minister would be more appropriate than a Judge or Justice of the Peace
- If
you choose my services, you will have a flexible, experienced minister
who is comfortable with planning and officiating the entire wedding
ceremony and can ensure everything goes smoothly, no matter what your
site or what kind of wedding you are planning
The planning process
- At our meeting
When we meet, we will go through all the elements of your wedding
ceremony - vows, rings, readings, everything - including
recommendations for wedding vendors, suggestions for music, your family
considerations, your wedding party choices, location characteristics,
and everything else involved in planning your special day
- Reserving my services
Once we meet, you may reserve your date and time with a non-refundable
deposit of half the fee. Your deposit then applies towards the fee.
Once you've reserved my services, I will get right to work on your
ceremony scripting, writing up everything that we worked on at our
meeting. The other half of the fee is due at the wedding rehearsal
- After we meet
Within a week or two after we meet, you will receive the entire wedding
ceremony scripting, 10-14 pages long, completely written up from
scratch for your review. Your scripting will be a clear, well-organized
document, completely detailed and complete. This writing out of the
scripting for your review is especially important and unique to my
services. I undertake this effort so that you will always kn ow
exactly what to expect. With this complete scripting in hand, you will
feel secure and confident knowing that your wedding ceremony is personalized and customized to reflect your beliefs, values, and wishes.
- Changes
Once you receive your scripting, you can go through it at your leisure
to make sure that everything is exactly how you want it. If there are
changes in the coming months, just let me know and I will send you a
newly revised scripting, so we're always on the same page.
- Rehearsal
By this point, you'll have the complete and final scripting, with any
and all changes you requested, and you will have the security of my
conducting the wedding rehearsal so your wedding party, family, and
everyone else is completely comfortable and confident. Your Minnesota
marriage license administration will be taken care of by me so you can
concentrate on more important things, like enjoying your big weekend.
- Wedding day
Now you'll be completely ready for your wedding! On your wedding day, I
will arrive 30-45 minutes before your ceremony. You won't have to
remember anything - it's just "repeat after me." You won't have to be
in charge of anything - you can just say, "Talk to Pastor Tomkin." You
can be completely in the moment, enjoying your big day.
- Through the
entire process -
- Meeting together
- Planning
- Writing the ceremony
- Re-writing
- Recommending
- Advising
- Rehearsing
- And the wedding itself...
...your thoughts, beliefs, and wishes are of utmost importance.
